The RACQ Technology Challenge Maryborough is Queensland’s premier youth and technology event which has been staged in Maryborough since 2002. Its focus is youth and innovation, the quest for alternative transport options, protecting our environment and the race categories are based on the school curriculum

The RACQ Technology Challenge is presented by the Fraser Coast Regional Council with support from event partners Maryborough State High, Bundaberg State High, Gympie State High and Maryborough Central Primary School. Sponsorship secured this year has allowed us to widen the scope of technology related displays and activities and broaden the events appeal.
The Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic is a fantastic three-day fishing competition, running from Good Friday to Easter Sunday, with live and dead weigh-ins from Friday onwards. The Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic has been run continuously for 20 years without a break and Burrum Heads Amateur Fishing Club welcomes family anglers of all ages and skill, near and far to the annual Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic!
On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, there are plenty of prizes and give-aways for entrants, whether or not they weigh in fish, culminating in a major reverse draw on Sunday afternoon. During the weekend there are also plenty of raffles, and food and drinks are available.
A very popular kids clinic is held on Sunday morning with free give-aways and lots of fun!
